Empowering Young Minds

Teen Mentoring ASW is dedicated to empowering children with special needs through emotional management and self-advocacy skills, helping them thrive in their everyday lives.
About Me

I have been wanting to work with little kids since I was in 8th grade. I was a part of a program at my high school called Voices of Change and I'm signed up for a psychology class at my college along with an internship at the preschool daycare on campus. I hope to help young kids discover ways to mange their emotions and stress as well as help them find effective ways to independently advocate for themselves and their needs. I'm 20 and I love working with kids. I'm a writer and I write about my experience in the special ed world being a special ed student myself, I also write about my story and background with my support systems over the years. I have been writing since I was in 8th grade.
I struggle with anxiety and am also epileptic at 10 years seizure free. I don't let my disabilities stop me from discovering things that help me regulate my emotions. I work in collaboration with Uplift Mentoring NYC and I support the cause to help children live more peacefully.
